Acoustic Bass Guitar Bridges

6 Ways to Connect With Your Guitar
Maybe you just bought yourself a guitar or maybe you have inherited one; whatever the case, you will still need to know all the parts of the guitar. That doesn’t have to be, unless you want to learn to play it.
Even though there are so many types of guitars out the, they basically all have the same general make up (that is a good thing for us guitarists and guitarists to be). Don’t worry, all the parts are very easy to remember and it should only take you a few minutes to know all the parts and their functions.
Ok, let us begin. Let us start with the parts of an acoustic guitar, or maybe an electric; what if we did the parts of a bass guitar? It doesn’t matter what guitar we decide to go with; they all have the same basic parts (at least the ones that are important for guitar playing).
The first part that we will talk about is the headstock. As the name suggests, it is the head of the guitar. Without it, we would not be able to tune our guitar even if we tried. The strings, neck and tuning heads all connect to the head stock. I think that the function is clear; besides, it just makes the guitar look very pretty.
On the guitar stock itself, we have the tuning heads. Depending on the number of strings that the guitar has, the number of tuners is equal to the number of the strings. So for instance, if our guitar has six strings; then the number of tuners on the head is going to be six.
The tuners are used for tuning the guitar. The way they work is by moving them towards or away from you (presumably you are the one doing the tuning). If the instrument is strung correctly, the pitch of your string(s) should go higher when you move the tuner away from you. When you move it towards you; the pitch should go down.
At the point where the headstock meets the neck, there is a small material called the nut (usually made of plastic). The nut has grooves in it that are there to guide the strings to the respective corresponding tuners.
The neck connects to the headstock and the body and is the platform for the fret board. This is the part of the instrument that you will concentrate a great deal on. You will place your fingers on the different frets to get different pitch sounds.
The fret board is found on the neck. The frets are on the fret board (can also be called the neck). Frets are the divisions that you see on the neck, they are usually lines that are made from metal strips. These are what make the different pitches on the instrument possible.
The body holds in place the bridge and the strings. It has a big sound hole. The bridge has little grooves in it to hold the strings in places.
Lastly, we have the strings. The strings are what we agitate with our fingers or pick to cause them to vibrate. After which, the vibrations make the sound that comes out of the sound hole. Each string has a different diameter so as to allow a variation in pitch sounds.
