Agathis Guitar Body Wood

Author: ESP EC-50 Guitar?? Agathis or Basswood Body?
Im thinking of buying the ESP EC-50 for my first electric guiitar..
I like the 2 tone burst color
On worldmusicsupply.com It says that it is made out of Agathis wood. for $200
On Guitarcenter.com and music123.com is is basswood and $250.
So which should I get???
Whats the difference?
Also, my other option was the Ibanez RG3EXQM1 in Grey Burst for $299
I wanna play linkin park, red jumpsuit apparatus, The Eagles, and Eric CLapton kind of songs….
Any other suggestions for my price budget?
The ESP is fine for what you need, get the cheaper one, They are probably both made out of Agathis anyway. Most people just assume that far eastren guitars are basswood due to Ibanez having used it for years. Dont go cheap on the amp, the most important tonal contributor.
