The Hardcore Of Bass Guitar Basics

The very first bass guitar was created by the famous guitar manufacturer, Leo Fender, who added frets to it that made it much easier to be played. The bass guitar did have a much larger body than the electric guitar, as well as a longer neck and a longer scale length. Always remember to make sure that your strings are in proper working order and free from debris.

When a bass guitar is create the best woods are used such as Alder and Ash for the body, but for the neck Rosewood and Maple are oftentimes used. When selecting your bass guitar be sure to take a long look at the wood prior to purchasing it. Be sure that the neck is properly bolted to the body and that it is not loose and that the fingerboard has been properly glued onto the neck.

These are a few things you must look at prior to purchasing your new bass guitar. Another thing that you may want to inspect prior to purchasing your new bass guitar is to make sure the tiny metal strips that are located on the fingerboard, which are called frets, are not loose and have been glued into place correctly. If the frets get removed, then this will change the sound of the bass guitar. Just be sure your new bass guitar is every thing you want and more.
