Does ACID pro or Sonar 7 enable the the use of virtual instruments?

I’m interested in composing my own music via a computer program such as either of these, but do either of these programs allow the use of virtual intruments (notably, guitar and bass) that arent pre recorded loops? ie. can i input the exact notes/chords i want these intruments to play and will it emulate the intruments for me in a way that i can then arrange the instruments to make a recording? thanks

Sonar does… You should also consider PRo Tools or Cubase… Those are great for Midi sequencing, and have a large array of VSTs available in the market for them

You should read up some of the articles on http://www.audioneeds.com that are about setting up studios, and software like these. Look into it.
