Classical Guitar Music Theory

Guitar Chord Theory – Some Basics for beginners
The dictionary defines a chord as a combination of usually three or more notes simultaneously can drown.
On a guitar the most commonly used chords are probably power chords, a chord simply from the root and the fifth. They sound with loads of great profit, and most modern rock songs are build around them. I'm sure everyone out there has beginners, learned with some classic power chords, and they form the basis for much of what is going to do any guitarist. Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit is one of the most memorable power chords, I'm sure every teenager learned post-1991 at some point in their career playing guitar, me included.
What happens if you want to go start on power chords and more To express depth and dynamics to your chord playing? In this article I'll explain how to make a few notes to the basic power chord add dramatically to the sound, and the theory behind those extra notes and how they apply to different chords.
For this article I will assume that you know as an A-minor chord playing power. The tendon is of an A, played at the 5th Association of low E-string and an E on 7 Federation played the A string. Most players usually add the octave to the root note and play the A on the 7th Association of D-string. A pretty basic rock power chord, and a basis for many songs over the years.
You can this power chord and change the key and sound quite easily. At the moment the chord has very neutral sound, it could be major or minor, since we added the third note that do not have to make it a "real" chord. To simply add the minor, the minor third of the A-minor scale, ie a C chord produced by A, E and C is an A-minor. You play the root, the fifth and third. If you raise the third one semitone to a D flat you play great Third, and so the string is from an A-minor, a major change. Try two different versions, you hear the chord changes from a sad sound to go to a happier sound.
These three simple chords are known as major and minor triads.
This theory can be applied to all chords. If you someone asks a minor chord play, you know that the game root, the fifth grade and the minor third. If you know your scales then this should not work too hard. Do not worry if it sounds too complicated after a while will become second nature and you begin to recognize and remember the chord shapes. The advantage of learning Chords on the guitar is that once you get the shape then it can be learned and moved into the neck at different root notes really easily.
For now, that is the most important basic theory behind major and minor chords. It is possible to add the flavor to these chords by additional notes. I'll run through some of those I use most often and how can they play as well. All these chords are based around the power chord start point of the root, fifth and octave.
A common extension I use while on the guitar is the add9 chord. As the name tells you you're the 9th Note of the scale to the triad. You may wonder how you 9 Add notes if there are only 8 notes in the scale? Now is the 9th really a relative term to your root. Take the note nine intervals from your root, an octave higher than the second. In our A minor example, you would normally play a B. This note is played instead of the fifth and in many blues rhythm play normal.
Another type of chord is subjected to a chord. I use a lot of suspended second chords, written as Asus2. When playing a suspended Secondly, you remove the third and play instead of a second. So a Asus2 consists of "A, E and B. These chords can be a lighter, dreamy sound and great Sound through the clean channel with loads of chorus.
Seventh chords are also common in many forms of music. You are not replacing, each note of your triad, But you are you still a reference to create a four-chord, called a tetrad. As the name implies, you add the 7th Note the scale. In our example an A minor seventh would play with A, E, C and G, where G is the 7th Report on the A-minor scale. It is worth mentioning that use many different types of seventh chord, depending on the size you. To I would recommend beginning to get comfortable using the natural minor and major sevenths. A major seventh is played with a major triad and then the 7th of major scale. To play an A major seventh Your A-major triad, would play consisting of A, E and Db, before the major seventh B., which is a
Hopefully you have more of a Insight into some basic chords are constructed and why they are called given the way they are. Ultimately you want your goal, each chord just by hearing the name and Working conditions, which notes to play, you play. It can all seem a bit technical and difficult at first, but believe me, it gets easier with time. Remember all things slow and learn one thing at a time and get comfortable with it before something more complicated. Good luck and I hope this article can fight a help for all be with their chords.
