The electric guitar was created primarily because of the desire for "loud music" has been in the forefront of the minds of many of the guitar maker. It was the 1920's, when dance music was more popular. Although other dance music today, it was the height of the flapper girls and the club scene and everyone wanted their music loud, but were not sure how to do it. The concert Settings have been getting bigger and even louder and more powerful instruments, musicians wanted. You could see the guitars in style changing with new technology, the larger be sound but no one had thought to strengthen the guitar itself.

Before the innovation happens when you trace back the need for electric guitars well before 20 Century. Around 1800, the Spanish style 6-string guitar was introduced, which already was louder than that made guitar. It was the 1850s that the body was strengthened, and the guitar began a flattop design have to do so. In 1890, Orville Gibson came up with a carved body guitar, put it even louder and standards for the future arch-top guitar.

Then you have the 1920's, when the intensified needs. With big band music and commercial radio stations, an attempt was everyone to think the next big guitar invention. Some companies decided to go with larger sizes, and metal bodies, but the true inventor modern guitar started to make louder at current focus on their guitars. John Dopyera went one better and created a steel body guitar with a resonator-amplifier was similar to what you find with banjos at the time. It was at the top of the guitar built.

Then in 1923 Lloyd Loar, an engineer with Adolph Rickenbacker worked, developed a pickup that could feel the vibrations in the soundboard from many different string instruments. Rickenbacker is sometimes said to those who really behind the production of the electric guitar was because he paid with tungsten pickups but it's really up to which was the real first electric guitar debate. The guitars, which he recorded in these were unsuccessful though. Then in 1931, George Beauchamp creates an electromagnetic pickup, an area that created the strings of movement and vibration increased. It was a simple invention that includes a current wrapped by a coil of wire, a magnet. It was as the "Frying Pan" guitar known. This was the first commercial E-Guitar, the player was usable by the joint.

In the late 30's are many other guitar makers jump into the electric guitar-playing, many with new Technologies came. However, there were problems with distortion, feedback and overtones for the most part. It was famous guitarist and inventor Les Paul, the first on the sound Difficulties, which most inventors were was the work. It was in 1940, the Les Paul the strings and pickups mounted on a solid block of pine trees to stop some of the bodies Oscillations. Together with his guitar from a piece of wood and no sound holes, this guitar was great to see yet, but it certainly paved the way for some the most famous guitars in the world.
