What are the types of softwood?
What woods are softer and easier Handcarved with a knife in his hand? I'm also looking make a custom made electric bass guitar, and I have no special tool, like a puzzle, to carve.
1-Obeche (Triplochiton scleroxylon) Wawa also called wood is very soft with a very granular features. Carving knives should be improved for the best cut lines. Exceptionally lightweight. It is used in manufacturing model and size in three dimensions. 2-linden (Tilia americana) timber soft cream white is easy to work and tails in large blocks very well – 3. Butternut (Juglans cinerea) This wood has a fine straight grain through. Excellent for high relief with some fine details. It is used in furniture size, and coating. 4 Jelutong (Dyera costulata) A soft wood like walnut that has a silvery gray sheen when finished. It is used in carving and pattern making:.
