Can you play guitar music on an acoustic guitar?

I want to learn to play guitar and am trying to decide if I should play electric or acoustic. You can use music to electric guitar sound, or is it the same?

Same thing. The feeling is a little different, because the neck is a bit wider. with a 12-string. Myself "There is no bone movies" sounds much better acoustic. The chords are more burning to them.
