I have 34 years of age and have no back ground music but I've been wishing if I could play guitar. Here is my question. 1.34 years of age is too late to start learning to play an instrument without back ground music. 2.What type of guitar is good for starters? I like country and musicians use the electric guitar and acrostic. What should I choose? Any brand name or specific? 3.Is there a DVD lesson you recommend. Tips for learning 4.Other Unfortunately, my friends do not play music and I have no idea about it. Please help! Thanks
No, not too old. You are never too old. Just be patient and daily practice. I would start with the acoustic guitar because there are less complications. Yes, you will to adjust, so you might consider buying a tuner. However, whatever the guitar (electric or acoustic) is what will be most comfortable playing. This means that if you learn on an acoustic guitar that will always be his "comfortable" instrument. Yes, you can play electric but not be as "comfortable" as the acoustics. I hope you understand what I mean. I saw on the Internet for basic chords or you can go to the music store and buy a book of basic chords. I've never done a DVD, so I can not recommend anything. I would start with a guitar that probably $ 100 – $ 150. You do not want spend lots of money so you can get used to playing (and you might find that the guitar is not for you.) That way you do not feel like you lose your money. I hope this help you!
