Electric Guitar Instructional Books

Guitar problems !!!!!!?
I want to learn to play guitar, but I'm having some problems if I start playing with an acoustic guitar or electric one and can you name some good books or instructional videos to learn how to play? thanks
Of course there are two schools of thought when it comes to deciding what type of guitar you want to buy. I personally prefer an electric one for several reasons. First, an electric guitar may well have clean sound to it, as an acoustic, and may also have distorted sound. Secondly, sometimes when you practice, the volume may be a problem. In this case, an unplugged electric guitar sound makes enough to listen, not strong enough to wake the neighbors. Thirdly, guitars do not need high-power maintenance to care for them. Fourth, have you ever changed the strings on an acoustic? It is much easier on an electric. Fifth, the strings of an acoustic tend to be much harder to push down an electric. Although most people have suggested that use acoustics to play in what will be easier for you to play an electric, you'll learn better technique in power, and you are not using a force too much to push the strings down. It would be like playing soccer with a medicine ball. As for books and videos, there are many out there to name them all. What want to do before buying anything, is to decide what kind of music that would be most interested in playing. Then from there, you can find many books and educational videos in most music stores. If you still can not find something that interests you, then go ahead and search online. I usually Buy online Musiciansfriend because index also has a customer review allowing you to read the comments of others in that particular product. Hope this helps a little.
