Get right Steely Dan sound of the electric guitar?
I learned the solo / chorus Rikki Do not Lose That Number, but what I really want to make it sound good. The instructional video I've been using says to go for a "tele bridge pick-up ',' amp TV valves with a clean channel, as well as a "compressor" I'm fairly new to the electric guitar I do not quite understand how to get sound who is talking, if someone could help that would be ideal Thanks for the detailed breakdown, so it is possible to achieve that sound without a telecaster telecaster and what looks like a tube amp? I have a Kustom Dart 10FX, but I have no idea that time is a tube amp or not.
Tele is short for Fender Telecaster. This type of guitar has a unique sound that is easy to recognize. The bridge pickup is the one toward the drain pipe. tube amplifiers sound different Solid state amplifiers below. Clean means no added effects like distortion or saturation. A compressor is an effect that reduces the difference between high and low, giving it more sustainable.
