This is only a short history of the Apples in Stereo

The Apples in Stereo is a good point to ponder. You see, the Apples in Stereo is one of the most famous American indie rock bands. This band is found with the innovative group of bands as "Elephant Six Collective. Robert Schneider, singer / guitarist of the band writes the majority of band music and lyrics. The Apples in Stereo to a large extent is a product of this great musician. Apart from Robert Schneider, The Apples in Stereo now other Members such as Eric Allen (bass), John Hill (rhythm guitar), John Dufilho (drums) and Bill Doss (keyboards).

The band is known for its sweeping, catchy and bright lyrics and pop / rock sound famous in the 60s. These often make listeners a comparison with the Velvet Underground, the Beatles and the Beach Boys. The release of New Magnetic Wonder of the band had called a comparison with the famous band, Electric Light Orchestra.

The Apples in Stereo was founded in 1992. This was shortly Robert Schneider visit to the university in Boulder, Colorado from Ruston, Louisiana went. Originally the band consisted of the following members: Robert Schneider (vocals, Guitar, keyboards), Jim McIntyre (bass, backing vocals), Hilarie Sidney (drums, vocals) and Chris Parfitt (guitar).

The first release of the band was the tidal wave EP. This was a great success as nearly 500 copies were sold. Along with this was a twelve-page illustrated booklet, stickers and a poster. The Elephant 6 Recording Company shall be made on the first official release.

The band saw one of its members, Chris Parfitt, leave the band at the end of 1993. Then he went on his own band called "Vince Mole and his Calcium Orchestra to form.

It was then that John Hill, a guitarist, backing vocalist and part of Dressy Bessy, joined the Apples in Stereo. A few tracks were recorded, published with other bands as split singles. One of the split-single with the band, The Olivia Tremor Control and was released on Small-Fi Records. Yet another was released by the Heart Worms on Wurlitzer Jukebox. The band made its third split single with Sportsguitar which was published on 100 Guitar Mania.

Fun Trick Noisemaker, the first album by The Apples in Stereo was released in 1995. It includes versions a couple of EP tracks and early singles which are re-recorded. Most of the part of the album was a trio recording. Jim McIntyre left the band part-way.

In 1996 another album called the Science Fair was published. This album contained a collection of early singles. He also had the instrumental To Love the Vibration the pear, the previously unpublished.

The speed of sound is the latest album from The Apples in Stereo. It was also in three parts of the world, ie, in the U.S., Japan and Europe, published in October 2002. In each of these parts, the album bore different covers.

Apples in Stereo saw great sales and fame with their latest album, that was pretty much taken.
