What is the difference between a bridge saddle slot and what is not? What are the ups and downs?
I have a Fender P-Bass, and I looking to upgrade the bridge with a Leo Quan Badass II. I'm looking at all parts and chrome I see two bridges, one larger than the other. One becomes more expensive. The only difference I see is that the more expensive one has grooved saddles. http://www.allparts.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BB-0337-010 and http://www.allparts.com/Badass-II-Bridge-p/bb-0335-010.htm are the two bridges in question. What is the difference between getting a saddle and not grooved rib? Is there a benefit? Can you only get grooves on guitars under certain? I have a Fender P-Bass with a jumper from the factory.
