Gibson Custom 1960 Les Paul Standard electric guitar Vos

Is this it? Is this the guitar more important in the history of rock and roll?

In the 50 shot in the 60's, Gibson worked tirelessly to improve the design of their guitars, and one aspect of the Les Paul they felt could be improved is the neck. Whereas 50 Les Pauls were known for their heavy rounded collars, in 1960 Gibson began to experiment with thinner, flatter neck to allow faster reproduction.

Gibson was so obsessed with making the guitar lighter and faster after 1960 than in Les Paul suspended reality as we know it, replacing it with the guitar is now called the Secretary General. (In fact continued to call the Les Paul, until Mr. Les Paul, the legendary musician, complained). And the Les Paul will be gone, consigned to the dustbin of history if not for a young bluesman with English name of Eric Clapton.

1960 Les Paul Clapton played extensively during his time with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and Cream. He popularized the instrument so much more (just starting to play a SG when your favorite Paul was stolen) that Gibson realized he had made a mistake and started to work again.

Only Les Paul about 2,000 were made during the period 1958-1960. By having those who have disappeared or been destroyed, not surprisingly, prices are $ 50,000 and even in the rare occasions when they change hands.

But you do not need much money to get a small piece of rock history. This guitar is an authentic replica of the 1960 Les Paul, the instrument that keeps Rock-N 'Roll.

The neck will be a revelation for players intimidated by the 50 classic Gibson necks, it's much thinner and faster playing easily compatible. The pills have the great advantage that do not match, Bitey. Are not performance as high as today's modern Alnico-V-based, but are filled with warm tone, thick and wonderful overdrive.

It sounds crazy to talk about modding replica of a guitar (although, if your page real modded '59 …) but you might consider adding a pair of strap-locks. If you're concerned about resale value, just stick to the original buttons, but a minor design flaw in the neck side strap button means that Paul has a bad habit of falling from their belts. And when you have a guitar of this great, you'll want to protect almost everything you'll want to play, because make no mistake, this is a great guitarist but it's a great guitar player, with a fantastic tone classic, perfect for driving a classic tube amp.
