Guitar lessons are like acoustic guitar lessons?
Ok, so I want to take electric guitar lessons lead … my Dad told me that the electric and acoustic guitar are the same when taking lessons. Is that true?
Jason, Most people play very different electric and acoustic (usually a lot of strumming on an acoustic, more fragmentation and play notes in one electric). If you really want to play lead guitar, then do NOT take acoustic guitar lessons. Teaching kids that some things sound impressive show and a good teacher teach him well, but it will not lead to learning as you wish. Good luck finding the right lessons to teach that lead. Juan
