If you learn to play acoustic guitar, you need to start all over again to learn the bass?
I plan to learn to play acoustic guitar but I play other guitars, especially bass and funk guitar. Need to learn all over again? How different, with the exception of the structure and sound are the guitars?
Not much different at all. The main difference between an acoustic guitar and a bass guitar is the way that strike the strings with his hand right. In an acoustic, you can rip it with your fingers, or more commonly with a peak in the lower, however, usually pluck the strings upward-not "strum" is involved, usually. Essentially, they are just harder lol. But to answer your question completely: all guitars are played, in fact, with the same powers. You strum strings, you fret notes, and uses a variety of techniques to make the pitch or sound quality. Depending on the style you choose, yes, you may need to learn new techniques (Classical and flamenco guitar take a considerable amount of finger dexterity, for example), but most of the techniques are transferable to other guitars also collect all the styles that will be easier and easier due to the similarities.
