Guitar Cases Hard Acoustic

How much abuse can a standard Gibson hard case to make while still protecing acoustic guitar on the inside?
I wanted to take my J45 on board but not yet know if I could be damaged by being thrown around in baggage!
A standard guitar case in the baggage compartment of an airplane business does not have many chances of survival. I've seen people do it, but I sure would not. When I have to fly and instrument, I use an ATA 300 cases assessed Calzada to protect it. A lot of money for such cases (about $ 300-400), but I know my instrument is to arrive in one piece:. If you choose to fly with the guitar standard case, take the following precautions 1. Remove all of the box, except the guitar and belt. This includes picks, strings, keys, keys, bottle openers … whatever. They can become projectiles in this case. 2. Loosen the strings. Do not remove them, but getting pressure on the neck. 3. Use towels to add extra padding on the head. Here is where most of the guitars are damaged. Also add any additional padding where the guitar can be moved in the case. 4. Tape locking mechanism. Security likely to pull the tape, but start with at least. If spring latches, then game over (another reason to use flight cases … insurance not spring). 5. You have to take additional cover on guitar if you want it insured. As it stands, if lost or damaged, the only airline will be about 60 cents per pound. You have to declare excess value and probably will have to pay a high price. 6. Take all kinds of images his guitar. If it is damaged, then you have some kind of record regarding the condition of the guitar before the plane got a hold on it! I discourage you from doing so. A better idea would be to use someone like UPS or Fedex and send the guitar before you, if there is someone you can trust to sign and get it for you. I would cost much less than that.
