Guitar Chords Basic Chart

Guitar basic question?
I'm a newbie, and chord charts are still a bit confusing to me. I'm trying to play "hurt" by Johnny Cash in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7VqTbuDBBo … but I'm still confused as to what the stuff in the mean chart. I know the X and O mean to play and where not, but I have none at the moment. Can someone please explain to me exactly what the X, O, and the numbers marked that?
I regret I can not see video on this team, but I can answer from my experience .. X: Do not touch the strings O: Play the open strings, it means when plucking the strings, his left hand fingers do not touch you / any of the chains that marked O. Circle. numbers: one is the serial number and fret number or left hand fingers should be used to pluck the strings ..
