Guitar chord: F major?

I looked up on chord finder to learn F major, and am totally confused.
I know it’s a 4 string chord: second finger second fret, third string. Third finger, third fret, fourth string. But what about my first finger? Is it 1st fret, second string or first?!
Thanks heaps.
So barring means holding down both E and B with my first finger?

Simple chord, and there are a many ways to play it, here are a few.

E–1—-1—-8——
B–1—-1—-10—-
G–2—-2—-10—-
D–3—-3—-10—-
A–X—-3—-8——
E–X—-1—-X——

The first one is the open position, the second is an E shaped bar chord and the third is an A shaped bar chord.

To form the first, use the third finger for D-3 the second finger for G-2 and bar B-1 and E-1 with the first finger.

To form the second, bar the first fret with your first finger, grab A-3 with the third finger, D-3 with fourth, and G-2 with third.

To form the third, bar the A,D,G,B, and high E with first finger and grab the 10’s by barring with your third finger.
