What I can do if I have a Jackson Rhoads guitar fret?
I can not remember what it was, but its black with a red outline, 24 frets, a tremolo Floyd Rose, 2 ceramic humbucker pickups jackson I think, and shark fin inlays. in e and g strings and all frets buzz on 1, 2 and 3 frets of all strings of fashion. I have it a week ago for Christmas and I love it, but the buzz of his bad … I think it has 9 gauge strings. So what I do?
Could be: 1. The action is too low. The buzz in the first 3 frets could be the result of the nut is cut a little low and the strings high suficiently not to delete the first 3 frets fully play notes there. The increase in the bridge saddles a fraction can cure this. Do not do too much, a little at a time until it stops buzzing. 2. The soul may be necessary to adjust. This is the metal bar through the center of the neck to couter the string tension and keep straight. Hold the body of the guitar and sight along the neck, so you can see the relief. If the soul is a little loose then the neck will be slightly convex (bending backwards) and this can cause hum problems. Tighten the truss rod will pull the neck straight again and this may solve the problem. Only try this it is certain to change its kind of mind – you might want to take it to a local guitar shop and see if they can have a look at it. I think it's likely to solve this by increasing the action a bit as mentioned. The string height should be similar to the curve of the fingerboard, but a little lower on the side of the treble and the threads are thinner. Jackson has a very flat fingerboard radius, something like 14 "so you should be able to achieve a good action without buzzing low with only minor adjustments. After all change in the action or soul check your setting and intonation as they may be affected.
