What are the different tests and examination boards?

Music Investigations are a process for formally assessing student performance, the musical instruments. Although there is music available to students and research students In addition to other regular qualifications and assessments are also a number of independent review bodies that offer only musical skills assessment, the open for everyone.

Music exams are set in theory and practice. The theory tests are taken by students of all instruments and generally aspects such as musical notation, construction of scales and composition. The practical tests focus on the particular instrument favored by the students, such as piano, Guitar or flute. They cover items such as at set-pieces, scales, sight reading and aural.

Most students who enter these exams have a Course of music lessons with a private teacher accepted. Often this is an opportunity for children, music education go beyond what their usual place of Learning is replaced.

The Associated Board is the world's leading examining body for music, with a system of examinations and assessments in over 80 countries around the world. The Associated Board is to some of the leading music schools in Europe combined – the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in London, the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.

Founded in 1889, the Associated Board schools, private teachers of music and the general public with a system of music Investigations of authority. The tests are offered in 35 instruments, singing, musical theory and practice and are open to students of all ages. The Associated Board reviewed more than half a million candidates each year, making it the largest examining body for music in the world.

In 1991, the Associated Board is pleased asked to be returning to study in Australia after an absence of more than 30 years. Associated Board examinations performed at St. Andrew's Cathedral School, meet with the board of examiners but regularly to Sydney.

The Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB) offers a full range of music and speech and drama education, from the first steps through to graduate-level performance and science. The AMEB exists to a graded system of examinations in music, speech and drama, by offering high quality curricula, educational services to our teachers, examiners and candidates and provide the highest quality publications editorial standards.
The AMEB has a long history, the quality of the music exams for students with over 100,000 students nationwide in their examinations each year. AMEB standards are internationally recognized and it is the only inspection body with formal links to the major Australian universities and the MoE.
