Voice Band Rocks Your Workout Music

You’ve heard of Rock Band and Guitar Hero for your video game system at home. You may have even played one or two of those games at a friends house or maybe you even have one that you play at home. They are great party games and fun for the whole family, but will they do for your workout music selection? Nothing Finally a game/app that will set you on the path to creating your own workout music. Have you ever had a tune stuck in your head and you’re not sure what it is or where it came from? If you don’t get that tune out of your head you are likely to blow? Well, now, grab the Voice Band app for the iPhone and you can turn that tune into your new favorite workout song. You don’t have to be a musician or anything, you don’t even have to be able to carry a tune. I have come across a lot of really cool apps for the iPhone, but this one puts all of the other ones to bed. Voice Band takes your “singing” and turns it into instruments. The way it works is, you hum the tune into your iPhone, select the instrument you want to play that tune (you can select from power chords, lead guitar, bass, two different kinds of synthesizers, organ and even drums) and then you can record your work. Lay down one track, followed by another, followed by another and pretty soon you’ll have a full fledged song and you can even sing along with it. Create your own workout music? Sounds too good to be true right? Not anymore it is not. With Voice Band you are the master of your workout music. Not only will it turn your voice into cool instruments for parts of your song, it will also auto correct your pitch, so if you’re a terrible singer (I have first hand experience with that) you can still sing into it and it sounds perfect just like the pros. This is all well and good right, but you don’t workout with your iPhone so how will you listen back to these songs right? They’ve got you covered there too. Once you’ve finished a song you can e-mail it to yourself and add it alongside all of your other workout music in one simple push of a button. Voice Band also gives you a metronome so you can keep time and stay on beat and it also adds reverb to your voice to add a little something extra to your song. Don’t think you’re creative enough to create your own songs? No worries, Voice Band will allow you to play along with the music that is already in your iPhone’s library. So, if you’ve already loaded your high intensity hip-hop workout playlist you can sing along to Trick Daddy – Sugar and make your own remix of it. If I sound excited about this app, it’s because it is the best app I have come across since I started using the iPhone. It is fun and exciting to use and it lets your creativity shine through. It’s easy to use and you can get started using it with little or no musical knowledge.
