Before I get started on the list please let me explain this not a measure of technical skill is or record sales or anything. This is only lists of music I like to play my favorite instrument – the bass. I have to give a massive shout out Geezer, he's not on the list, but we all need to talk about the impact. The game can begin:
# 2 My favorite bass player is none other then Gene Simmons! Lord, have mercy up my soul!
Spits blood flying around on stage, Reality TV, bobble heads, Mr. Potato Head, and now piss cake. That sums up pretty much what people think of when they think of Gene Simmons these days, but not me. I think of the Demon of KISS bassist!
Gene takes a lot of heat in the media People who say he made whores KISS, but the facts might be considered. The man was a lot of money not only for him but also for his bandmates. Also come I do not know if you've seen recent pictures of KISS concerts, but not really hurt her to participate.
I know people are criticizing this, because his is bass player and Gene the first to admit that he is only passable, but for me he is the first real step forward for the deep bass and sound that we all love to be known. If he bit on the a chord with his blood-spitting for the bass has never sounded better. Detroit Rock City also has an amazing bass line in it. Sure it is not complicated, but damn sounds good.
Normally, I would base this on observations album sales and concert, but come on their … KISS. I think if you pay to see you Kiss you really look for genes. For me I like the crazy shit he does with that amazing guitar AXE.
