How can I learn how to stay in a particular key guitar?
How can I learn to stay in certain key solo's at? I have not found any good info online. I know where all the notes are a guitar freboard on, but when someone says play notes or chords in the key of [what]. What is the theory behind how it works? Are there any good links that explain the music theory?
Check out http://musictheory.net/ for a good visual explanation of music theory. This will help you get an understanding of the concept. Since the applicability of it to the fingerboard, you want to be in scale for the solo'ing to find part. The most commonly used to go to do you research and learn the minor pentatonic.
