How do you select a pedal steel guitar?

10string I have a pedal steel guitar with 3 pedals and knee lever. I would love to start learning to play but still can not tune it. I tried to follow the test patterns, but it's so confusing. For example this: I can do to tune http://www.b0b.com/tunings/bobshilling.html ropes down the right notes (F #, D #, etc) when they are open? Do I have to press the pedals or levers to adjust? Please help. Thanks.

There are two basic types of changer mechanisms used to raise and lower the strings of a pedal steel. guitar all traction systems, "All traction systems represent almost 100% of all steel guitars made today. Raising the pitch of the string down with an Allen wrench to turn the hex screw corresponding socket on the upper left which will take until the desired tone low. String tone down low by turning the Allen wrench. For string that is raised or lowered more than a foot pedal or knee lever, adjust the second increase (Or less) by fitting a set of small springs load setting behind the neck of the bell crank.
