They want to learn to play lead guitar, but are not sure where you should start? This article explains the easiest way to deal with lead guitar started. Now, when you are playing guitar, you're absolutely positive, undoubtedly have to learn the minor pentatonic. This scale is the center of rock and blues universe, is also in many other genres. If you had to choose a standard for Learn guitar, this would be the best choice – hands down.

There are so many scales used in music, why this?

First, This is the most widely used scale for guitar solos. Chances are, if you're a guitar solo it is very likely contains the notes of the minor pentatonic heard.

Secondly, by a note or two of this scale you can use many other scales and modes. It is the benchmark that many other scales are built around.

Third, learn by learning the minor pentatonic scale, you can simply, the major pentatonic scale (which is also a very popular scale). The scale forms for these two scales is the same, they just sit in various positions on the guitar.

Finally, the minor pentatonic scale is extremely versatile. It is one of the few scales in music, that can be played over minor and major chord progressions. When used appropriately, it could play almost any chord progression and it sounds in most cases good.

The last point is probably the most important. The minor pentatonic scale is easy to learn! It contains only five notes.

This diagram shows the A minor pentatonic. Your index finger (1) goes on 5. the low E string – the one note. Play all references to this covenant with the index finger, all the notes on the 7th Covenant with the ring finger and all the notes on the 8th Covenant with the small Finger.
