Need help with chord progressions!?

Hi, I'm looking to learn more about the chord progression, I'm having trouble write my own songs and need help. Is there a program that helps? I have also looked into the circle of fifths, but I think that really helps me to "find that chord is coming. I'm not quite sure what i-ii-iii-iv-v-VI-VII etc. this when referring to a chord progression; What does the number of the note on a scale? as in – in a major i A = An example? Or if you can help me up now for a song, which, D # / 5 – = (A2, A3, D # 4, D # 5) and C # / 5 + = (A2, A3, C # 4.C # 5) and A5 = (A2, A3, E4, E5), but now what? As in, to lead the next part of a song I have no idea where to go. Sorry if this is stupid, I spent several years playing guitar and just starting to-side theory had never learned a lesson online.

This is difficult to explain through the Internet, but back a few steps. The chord reference numbering system can be a useful way of thinking about music, especially for guitarists, but the first thing to know is the difference between the minor and major chords. In a major key that would the number of chords I, II, III, IV, V, VI and VII º. In talking with other musicians you would call "the chord of" or "five chord" and so on. The capitalized numbers indicate a major chord and lower case, a minor chord. The small circle means it is a diminished chord. Now mix the I, IV, V and IV chords (For example, use C, F, G and a minor) in different combinations. Try throwing in the IV (F #) and V (G #) and see how it sounds. Have fun!
