Each year many of us scramble to find the best gifts for Christmas. Parents want to please their children and make them happy during this special time. Some gifters are looking for the most unique gifts to surprise their loved ones. Here is a first look at some of what will be considered the best gifts for Christmas 2010.

One of the favored toys featured at the Toy Fair 2010 in New York is the Dance Star Mickey. Bringing this Disney character to life, this doll walks, talks and dances as it encourages children to get up and have fun. Already being pre-ordered, some look at this toy as the new Elmo.

It is a fact that parents love educational toys. You will find a few of those this year as the best gifts for Christmas in the LEGO’s Mindstorms NXT 2.0 programmable robotics kit. This is the new version of the previous Mindstorm NXT and is said to be well worth the higher price tag. Children 10 years and up use this set to build their own robot. Then they use intuitive programming software to make their creation come to life. Four robots can be built with this kit from the Robogator to the Shooter Bot and Alpha Rex. But it doesn’t end there. Once they get the basics down, they have instructions and parts to re-build as many other robots and program them the way they want. You can use your own programming software and find one of the many forums online to share your creations and get more ideas!

Other educational games are the Playmobil Pyramid that lets children explore how pyramids are put together using movable tunnels and traps. Younger children have the Fisher Price iXL 6-in-1 Learning system for preschoolers and the LeapFrog Leapster Explorer Learning Game System in which children can learn something different everyday using ebooks, online play, and even downloadable learning apps.

For teens there are always the game consoles that get more interesting and interactive. This year we find DJ Hero as a top-selling gift where kids can scratch and mix their way to hero status. For those who really want to play music, you can find electric guitar packs which come with the guitar, strap, amp, guitar cord and even a learning DVD. The 3D TV will be a high-end big seller to be bought and enjoyed for the coming Superbowl experience. Of course more electronics abound including the Garvin Widescreen portable navigator, rechargeable headphones and home theater units.

Online shopping will be big for Christmas 2010. As malls become more crowded, parking becomes more hazardous and lines get longer, more people are looking to avoid the hassle making their holiday more enjoyable.
