Guitar Tuner Electronic Circuit

I want to build this circuit tuner but there are some things I do not understand … http://www.myplace.nu/avr/gtuner/index.htm 1) What is the input should be? (I assume it is from a microphone or an audio jack, but there is only one male / female)? 2) What 3 VCC and GND?) What is the SV1, that input is connected, etc..? 4) How is the program that will get you to chip? Please give a detailed explanation, if you know)
1. Solder the input to the "tip" from a quarter-inch diameter headphone jack. Solder the "ring" of the bush to ground. Then you can directly plug into an electric guitar. 2. Vcc voltage to the transistor collector means (+5 volts, the RED wire from the battery or power supply in your case) 3. GND means ground. This is the black wire from the battery or AC adapter. 4. SV1 is any power outlet. I would recommend that with two plugs:) the quarter-inch socket the audio, and b) a battery snap. If you buy a pre-programmed the chip, you must find a way to get it to program.
