The all new Apple iMac MB950LL/A Desktop truly is a thing, not only of beauty, but also of wonder!  Right out of the box, the Apple experience will captivate you and will have you thinking you are living in a parallel universe.  OK, so that may be pushin it, but take my word for it, everything about using an iMac is new, fresh and exciting

Designed to look as good as it performs, the iMac MB950LL/A Desktop is a very impressive computer, and that’s before you even turn it on! Updated with a brilliant 21.5-inch LED-backlit widescreen display in a new edge-to-edge glass design and seamless all aluminum enclosure, the new generation iMac is ideal for watching high definition movies and TV shows from iTunes. You can also edit and watch your own videos or photos using the amazing iLife, already pre-loaded and ready to use out of the box. The MB950LL/A now also comes standard with a wireless keyboard and the new Magic Mouse, which features Apple’s Multi-Touch technology. And it’s faster than ever with a 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. This is simply a great machine. It is quick, responsive and just a joy to use.

The Apple iMac MB950LL/A DESKTOP, all-in-one computer, combines immaculate style with state-of-the-art, top notch hardware. This sleek looking desktop is not only eye-candy that quickly becomes a conversation piece in any room; but everything works smoothly right out of the box with the Mac OS X operating system. You can, literally, set up and reconnoiter (means “explore” this computer five minutes after unpacking it; it IS that user friendly. But don’t be misled, Apple uses some of the most innovative technology and one of the world’s most advanced operating systems to power this “user friendly” little bad boy!

Packed into this sleek computer is an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with each of the two cores running at 3.06GHz, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 500GB hard drive. With these standard specifications and Apple’s streamlined and beautifully integrated operating system, you will be able to run any application you throw at this computer; whether it be just surfing the web, editing photos and movies or running multiple pages and applications at the same time. With the new iMac MB950LL/A Desktop you get faster processors, advanced graphics, more storage, and more memory… making this sweet little machine the fastest iMac ever!

Performance on the Apple iMac MB950LL/A 21.5-inch is certainly very strong for an all-in-one desktop system. Many companies rely on the mobile processors with their lower power consumption and less heat generation. Apple has instead used a full desktop version of the Intel Core 2 Duo along with DDR3 memory. This allows it to power through applications. It would have been nice to see them include options for the Core i5/i7 processor like they do for the 27-inch model but the performance is still some of the best in the $1200 price range.

Also unique to the iMac is the brilliantly thought-out integration of the hard-drive within the display monitor, offering you a single unit that gives your desktop a streamlined and clutter-proof appearance. The MB950LL/A Desktop has more than just brains, it’s also got mighty fine good looks! And it comes pre-loaded with Apple’s, industry leading, Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (the name alone sound mysterious and intriguing… just wait until you use it!) operating system; an operating system, like no other, custom-designed for the advanced technology inside. It also comes with the highly acclaimed iLife suite of applications, including: iPhoto, iMovie, iWeb, iTunes, and the always fun and engaging Garageband; which introduces a whole new way to help you learn to play piano and guitar. In the Lessons feature of GarageBand, you are shown a video and then a display of the chords are played on a virtual guitar or piano. It even has a built-in guitar tuner. I can only imagine how many budding musicians will be born thanks to this ingenious feature.

To strengthen the iMac’s use as part of an entertainment center, Apple upgraded the speaker system. The new speakers are a vast improvement over previous models, producing richer sound with better bass response and louder volume – you will be impressed. You’ll still want to use external speakers to fill a room larger than 20-by-20 feet, but for bedrooms, dens, offices, and smaller living rooms, the built-in speakers have adequate power.

The iMAC MB950LLA DESKTOP is suitable for computer enthusiasts of all ages: younger kids, college students, or the elderly, offering as much of an unique and enjoyable computing experience as the product itself. The large 21.5-inch screen is absolutely stunning and provides clear, crisp graphics utilizing the internal NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics chip. An, iSight webcam, is built seamlessly into the monitor making it easy to video conference. Or keep yourself entertained and amused as you take fun and bizarre photos of yourself with the included Photo Booth program. You’ll understand what I mean by “bizarre” once you start using Photo Booth…

To continue the new, fresh and exciting iMac experience, Apple has just introduced the incredible new Magic Trackpad to use alongside your wireless keyboard as you surf along in your parallel universe! It is the first Multi-Touch trackpad designed to work with your Mac desktop computer. It uses the same Multi-Touch technology as on the MacBook Pro, but gives you the flexibility of a larger surface. And it supports a full set of gestures, giving you a whole new way to control and interact with what’s on your screen. Swiping through pages online feels just like flipping through pages in a book or magazine. And inertial scrolling makes moving up and down a page more natural than ever. The Magic Trackpad uses Bluetooth wireless technology to connect to your Mac. Use the Trackpad anyway you choose, on its own without a mouse or in conjunction with one on any Mac computer — even a notebook.

Featuring the same sleek and sculpted aluminum design as the wireless keyboard, the Magic Trackpad sits flush, side by side, at the same angle and height – a great looking pair! The transition from typing to gesturing is simple and seamless; or be crazy and do both at the same time – how cool is that! My previous two computer systems have been top brand and top-end Windows based computers. I switched to Apple a year-an-a-half ago and have never looked back. In my opinion the two Operating Systems are not even comparable. From the very quick, efficient, and almost silent start-up of the iMac, compared to the laborious, noisy, and lengthy start-up of Windows/Microsoft systems, you will notice the difference and be very pleasantly surprised. I still thoroughly enjoy my computing experience every time I sit down to my Apple iMac, and would never think about going back. It just IS that good of a system!

With its blend of alluring design and exemplary components, the MB950LLA DESKTOP is undoubtedly not only a winner but, in my books, a champion all-in-one computer.
