Martin Guitar – price sticker residue?

I recently bought a very nice Martin Auditorium acoustic guitar, though have noticed that there is a gummy residue on the headstock from where I peeled the price sticker off. Can anyone advise on how I can remove this sticker residue without damaging the finish? I don’t want to use any solvents.

As an aside, why do retailers place stickers directly on fine wood finishes? Surely a tag on string would do the job?

Martin guitar polish!
It’s all natural and does a great job on all guitars, electric or acoustic, been using it for years and about $8.cdn
Notice on the Martin site says to make sure you have an Authentic product, just to give you the heads up. I hate fake guitars
