Midi Bass Guitar Loops

What are some good programs to get into what you earn?
Ive been trained in classical piano for 13 years, played bass and guitar of 5 or 6. I've also tried recording rock material, and taking time and things in the past, but havnt had much luck. I have one of the new MacBookPro, and a M-Audio 2 plug-in interface with a midi in and have a full-sized keyboard with a MIDI output and the microphone of a few. I've heard from some programs such as Fruity Loops and live, and Reason, and ProTools and Cool Edit Pro … WHAT TO START WITH?? Any advice further, only the name of the program are very necessary PLEASE! I know it's illegal, but you may be able to download or find some free copys progams if there is super expensive, and tend to be. (Do you know any illegal connecting online? Haa), but also like to know which free programs will probably start up time.
Surprise! You already have it – GarageBand. It's free (that came with the MacBook Pro as part of iLife). There is a kit or two for GarageBand Jam has additional dance / hip hop, along with some Roland TR-808 and -909 sounds percussion are essential. GarageBand also deals with audio loops. Once you get the hang of it with Garage Band, which may progress to Logic Express or Ableton In vivo. Fruity Loops has fallen into disfavour with the pace most serious producers, often using Ableton or hardware modules such as the Akai MPC series.
