Necessary Electric Guitar Equipment

What equipment do you need my band to play live?
Basically, my band and I are starting to play small gigs, nothing big. We are not super familliar with all the necessary equipment live. I'm hoping someone can tell me the basics of what I have to get and if you're feeling generous, how to configure. We are looking microphone 2 guitars, a drum machine, bass and vocals. We play mostly metal stuff, but really the whole place. I also wonder if it is better microphone electric guitars for small concerts or just turn the amp and play without microphones. Thanks to all who really took the time to read this and will try to answer all these questions, I really appreciate it:)
Hi, this is a great question and we have all asked (if we should not.) I I am only a musician but an audio engineer (both in studio and live situations.) There are more questions you need to ask yourself, well the question posted here. 1. Does the club you are playing on a home system? 2. How much are you willing to invest? It is also an investment band or a person going to invest and own the entire team? Now let's look at some situations, because every show is different. If the club has a PA system, must see what they have to an AP. If you have only 2 small ends up as 12 or 15 and a horn, then you probably will not worry about drums or guitars mic'ing (Of course it depends what you're using guitar amps as well.) A system of small houses, as it usually is designed to voices and maybe an acoustic guitar …. and usually at low levels, I'm not saying it can not mic a whole band, but what's the point. You will also have Pay attention to how many entries are available in your console. He will be a determining factor in what's going to micro insurance. In a situation of greater size will see that the Palestinian Authority will have at least one SUB (usually two, but you never know). At this time we are probably dealing with a mixture of the console to support to micro all-ING or at least most things. In an ideal situation with a big enough PA to support a average room 150 – 250 people are likely 16 channels, with two subwoofers and two covers, in this case I say all microphone (considering they're playing rock / metal), you'll want a microphone for each hype (assuming your battery is 2 …) I would suggest a 52 or an AKG INSURANCE D112. I also mic the toms and maybe one or two above (depending on size Room). Also if you can trap …. there are some great mic packs can for cheaper … talk to your local music store, which contain all standard microphones needed for a longer battery. bass amps have a direct line out (XLR hopefully). That takes care of that … no no microphone is necessary, if your bass amp not have this, then you need a DI box (probably the best person would be dedicated to work if only the bassist). guitars are pretty easy …. Sure SM 57 in front of each amplifier and the rise of the action. Vocal microphones are always a topic of discussion ….. of years I have always stuck with 58s 58s Sure …. go Beta Of course they are work horses and every sound engineer knows what is going to sound and knows how to work better. Also ask whether it is better to go strong or microphone …. ideal for anything you want mic and let the wise man do the job …. maintain low-level stage …. will save your hearing and do the will of soundmans job much easier. I hope that this began to answer your questions. If you have more or would like to discuss this in detail please feel free to email me.
