Parent's Guide to video game systems

In HomeComputerGames.com we have a lot of emails from parents asking about the different types of video games and game systems available. More than once I heard "What exactly a Halo 3?

I can see how all this can be a little intimidating for a parent buying games for their children. With so many different types of systems available it is often difficult for someone who does not play video games to keep up with everything. There are Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, PS2, PSP, RPG, ESRB …..

Here I met the parents of this Guide to Video Game Systems in the hope that it might help prevent some poor parents who suffer the shame and embarrassment of not knowing what the hell your child is talking.

For starters you may want to familiarize yourself with some of the components a "game systems."
Every game system has its own technology and consists of the following:

Game console: This is the real component of the gaming media that contains the game itself, as a DVD or CD, is played. Without this there is no game system, since it contains the CPU, memory and other such input and output ports.

Game Controllers: This is your input device to play the game. They resemble much like a mouse or a keyboard that is used on the computer. Many drivers contain a series of buttons that perform various actions such as a character in the game to run or firing a weapon or some other function. ** A PC is a type of game system and game systems are themselves a type of PC

Video Games Media: The most common type of gaming media are DVD, CD, game cartridge, and downloaded files. ** Note that each video game is owned by the games own system, but there may be several different types of gaming systems. Xbox 360:
The Xbox 360 is the game system from Microsoft and is an update to its original game system Xbox. The Xbox 360 is probably the most popular game system outside the PC, although the Nintendo Wii surpassed the Xbox 360 in sales. Microsoft recently dropped what was a very expensive game system making it more affordable for consumers. As a result of sales have skyrocketed and has ensured that the Xbox 360 will be for some time to come. There are a variety of video games for the Xbox 360 that covers all genres the hard core shooter games more family-oriented classic games like Monopoly. The Xbox 360 is also compatible with many of his predecessor on the Xbox.

Many of the new releases for the Xbox 360 is anticipated that the zeal of the players many titles that sold out within hours of its release. Gaming Accessories: There are many accessories available for the Xbox 360. driver multi-button (many different types to choose from), keyboard, face plates (to change the appearance of the console games), guitar and other musical instruments, games automobile steering wheel and pedals, headsets, video / web cam, surround sound system, external data storage (hard disk, memory card), carrying cases and storage units, auxiliary cooling systems (the Xbox 360 has had some problems with it overheating), control remote, dance, and other accessories I'm sure I'm missing

Nintendo Wii:
A unique feature of Nintendo's Wii, and one that makes it stand out from other game systems is its wireless controller, the Wii Remote, which can be used as a handheld pointing device and detecting motion in three dimensions. This revolutionized the gaming industry that many call the games to act out actions such as using a sword or tennis racket tennis instead of sitting in his chair and pressing buttons. Of course, this was a great success with parents know their children at least have to get up and get some exercise.

The Nintendo Wii was the best selling game console sold in 2007 and revolutionized the meaning of the game by introducing a video game called the Wii Fit, which resulted out of his chair and exercise. Number of games available: in this case the total number of available games seems to be a bit of a mystery. The Nintendo Wii is also compatible with the Nintendo Gamecube. This means that you can play old games Gamecube on the Wii from Nintendo. This does not include games released on Nintendo's Virtual Console or WiiWare but there is a known quantity of 518 games but again I can not see how about this is the actual number of games available. Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3)
The Sony PlayStation 3, also known as PS3, is next in line for the 7 th generation of game consoles. The PS3 continues to its predecessor, the PS2, as the following line of Sony game systems. I think the PS2 is still the main game system of all time with over 140 million units sold to date.
