What kind of strings do not pass me by an acoustic guitar, electric and gauge what is standard?
I have an electric guitar, acoustic (Yamaha fx01c) and am trying to buy new strings in line from the center of the guitar, but there are only two sections and electrical cords. Acoustic strings that I can buy? I'm not sure if the "Acoustic Strings" means they are nylon or not as I know I should not receive. What is the gauge Standard to buy? or ones that came with my guitar? (I'm assuming that all new guitars come with a standard gauge) you plan to buy the brand elixir but if you recommend something better, I'll take a look. Thanks!
Hello. To help, you would normally call this type of guitar and electro. Basically, is an acoustic guitar with a pill that can be plugged into an amplifier. Therefore, you should buy acoustic strings. The indicator that probably came with the guitar is light gauge (12's). Most guitarists try different strings until they find a brand that fits their sound and style. Elixir strings have A special coating on them, making them last longer than uncoated strings, because they are less prone to corrosion and degradation by dirt entering in the coils of the wound strings. At this stage anything that makes your game more enjoyable is recommended. Just one more note, if you play 1 hour a day, uncoated strings should be changed at least once every 2 months and coated strings about once every 5-6 months time. If you play more than this, then change more regularly. Nylon strings and classical guitars are not advised to classical strings on an acoustic guitar.
